Diagnosis before the cure
You can't fix what you can't see
Can your customers find you? Can Google? Can an AI assistant actually book you? Most local businesses can’t tell.
So we measure it first: free, in about a minute, a real score across the four things that decide whether you get found and booked. If there’s a problem worth fixing, we fix it. It starts with knowing.
Measure
A free 0 to 100 score in about a minute. Your website, your Google profile, your social reach, and whether an AI assistant can actually book you.
See
Exactly where people, Google and AI assistants get stuck before they ever visit, call, book or order. No guessing, real gaps.
Fix
Only what the score says you need. A site, a booking system, real visibility work. Never a package you don't need.

The AI shift
People now ask AI before they decide where to go
The share of consumers who use AI to find a local business jumped from 6% to 45% in a single year. Discovery now starts inside ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers, before a customer ever opens your website.
And AI doesn’t pick the prettiest site. It picks the ones it can actually read and book: clear, structured, machine-readable, and quietly skips the rest. That is why an estimated 83% of restaurants are invisible in AI search.
Assistants have moved past answering. They act: finding a place and trying to book it end to end.
It started in April. Google’s AI Mode now finds live table availability across booking platforms and shows it inside the answer, worldwide. The guest still confirms the booking themselves, and 89% of people say they’d let an AI agent handle a booking. To appear on that shortlist at all, a venue’s availability has to be readable by a machine.
If an assistant cannot understand or book your place, it recommends another.
Why this matters, the numbers
People respond to how your site looks. Software depends on how clearly your site states its facts and offers its actions. You need both, and it comes down to two questions: can it read you, can it book you.

We asked the same question of 200 Amsterdam restaurants, and our own numbers are harder: 79 had a booking path a machine could see, 16 could be finished by an agent driving a browser, and not one could be booked by an agent without one. 200 restaurants, one identical pass.

The G-Lab Score Method
Having a website is the easy half. We score the full path from discovery to booking: presence, actions, AI readiness and agent-ready booking.
On screen you get four headline scores; your free emailed report opens into a six-part breakdown: website, Google/Maps, reputation, social, conversion and retention: each graded 0–100, with your top gaps and next steps.
Agent-Ready Booking
Most sites have a contact form. Fewer have a booking path that a customer or their AI assistant can actually find, understand and complete. We check whether your reservation path is clear, reachable and free of unnecessary blockers.

Online Presence
Everything a customer or their AI assistant checks before they choose you: website, mobile experience, Google/Maps profile, social links, menu, photos, reviews.
Customer Actions
Call, message, book, order, open menu, get directions, check hours. Every extra tap or unclear step is a chance for a customer to give up.
AI Readiness
Clear business structure, FAQ, entity signals, recommendation context. Structured so AI assistants can understand and recommend you.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Who is G-Lab Studio?
We built the AI Bookability Check, a public scoring framework for whether a local business can be found, understood and booked by the AI assistants customers increasingly use. We do two things: measure it, with a free diagnostic, and fix it, with AI-bookable websites, a booking system whose guests stay yours, and the monthly work that keeps you found, booked and remembered. Not a generic web studio. The instrument, and the fix, for how customers now find local places.
Why does this matter right now?
Discovery already moved to AI. 45% of consumers now use AI to find a local business, up from 6% a year ago (BrightLocal, 2026), and search is becoming action: Google's AI Mode now finds live table availability across booking platforms and shows it inside the answer, worldwide. The guest still confirms the booking themselves, but to appear there at all, a venue's availability has to be readable by a machine. Yet 83% of restaurant locations and 84% of hotels never appear in AI recommendations at all, because their sites can't be read by it. The businesses that get ready first get chosen. The rest get quietly skipped.
What does the free diagnostic check?
The things that decide whether you get chosen, checked live: whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini name you for searches in your district (not the whole island); whether AI crawlers can read you and you publish an llms.txt; your real Google page speed (Lighthouse); whether Google knows you as a business (Knowledge Graph); your online presence and reviews; and your Agent-Ready Booking score (could an AI assistant actually complete a booking on your site). You get it reported as Found · Booked · Remembered, biggest gaps first, in about a minute.
What does “AI-assistant bookable via public API” actually mean?
It means your booking is open to software, not just to people with a mouse. Your site publishes a public, machine-readable booking interface: an assistant can discover it on its own, read your real free times, and create a confirmed reservation, no form to click through, no account, no marketplace in the middle. We have done this end to end with independent AI assistants, and it returns a real booking number. Almost nobody offers this: in our latest research on Amsterdam restaurants, not one of the 163 randomly selected restaurant websites we tested had a booking interface an assistant could use.
Which AI can actually book me?
Agents. There is a real difference between a chat window and an agent: a chat answers questions, an agent does things. Agents book you today: OpenAI's Codex, Claude, and an agent built on the open-source Hermes have all created confirmed reservations on our system, and any agent wired to tools can do the same: your booking speaks MCP, the open standard AI platforms use to let their assistants act, so when a platform switches booking on, you are already plugged in. Chat and answer surfaces like the ChatGPT window or Perplexity are built to read, not to act, so they cannot send a booking anywhere yet, to us or to anyone. They are all growing hands, and you are already reachable when they do.
Is the diagnostic really free, and what does the fix cost?
The diagnostic is free and needs no credit card. You get an instant score out of 100 plus your biggest gaps, in about a minute. And if the score finds a problem worth fixing, that's exactly what we do: after the diagnostic we propose the specific fix your result calls for, not a generic package. No obligation either way.
